Overview
Fairy Meadows sits above the Raikot valley at around 3,300 m with a direct view of the Nanga Parbat massif and its glacier.
Access is deliberately slow: a narrow jeep track from Raikot Bridge, then a walk or pony ride to the meadow. Most travellers stay in wooden huts or tented camps.
Best time to visit
Mid-May to early October; the track is generally closed in winter.

How to get there
- Drive to Raikot Bridge on the Karakoram Highway (roughly 2 hours from Gilgit).
- Local jeep to Tato village, the only permitted vehicles on the track.
- Walk or ride 3–4 km uphill to the meadow (1.5–3 hours).
