Galiat stretches along the ridge between Murree and Abbottabad, a series of small hill stations set in thick pine and oak forest. Nathiagali is the best known, with cooler temperatures and walking trails that link several neighbouring villages.
The area is ideal for short breaks from Islamabad: forest hikes, birdwatching, cool evenings and a far quieter atmosphere than Murree.
