Bahrain

A riverside mountain town on the road to Kalam

1,400 m Spring · Summer · Autumn

Overview

Bahrain sits in the upper Swat valley where the Daral and Swat rivers meet, a popular stop between Mingora and Kalam. The town is known for its wooden architecture, riverside cafés and as a jumping-off point for day trips into the surrounding hills.

It works well as a quieter alternative to Kalam in summer, with easier road access and a good range of guesthouses and local restaurants.
